In this residence on the coast of Santa Catarina, the clients and architects aimed to build a timeless house. The project was laid out at 45 degrees to the north on the plot, ensuring full sun in both the intimate and social areas, as well as in the swimming pool. As the 2,500-meter plot was flat, the proposal was to raise it by 1.5 meters in order to achieve the current ripple effect that provides movement to the landscaping.
In order to give the roofs a contemporary feel, we opted for a set of flat tiled roofs, with little slope and large overhangs, combined with rectangular volumes. The use of exposed concrete on the balconies and flower boxes gave a contemporary feel and contrasted with the warmth of the wood and Costa Rican stone.
