Wide open spaces promoting integration, comfort and good living: these are the elements at the heart of Project House da Pedra. The uphill plot of land, in the green neighbourhood of Chácara das Pedras, steered the project towards a natural empowerment of green spaces. An indoor garden with a green wall runs along the south boundary. This space also holds the vertical flow that unifies the three floors through a Corten steel staircase. Just above it, a zenith, motorized frame allows natural light to fill the house and also functions in exhausting the hot air. The 52m² kitchen, with wine storage, is linked to the main structure and to the independent reception/banquet room. The external cladding, with coastal stone, wood and visible concrete, crawls into the house. On the lower floor, in addition to garages, the family can also make the most of a spa, where a relaxation room gives access to both the sauna and the golden-toned, heated pool.
