In the year of 1999, the mature Petrópolis neighbourhood, in Porto Alegre, BR, was chosen to welcome the first Stemmer Rodrigues building for the real estate market, Building Serravalle. The brick wall façade and curved balconies in visible concrete were considered an innovation at the time and they still maintain their modernity. The floor plan, consisting of three flats per floor, each including American style kitchen, barbecue grill area and living room with a fireplace (not common features at the time), complemented the proposed concept. Serravalle was the starting point that confirmed S&R as a developer.
