(RE)meeting: family constellations and the spaces we love

We believe that spaces make people happier. They create stages, corners of exchange. This is the essence of (RE)encounters: lovingly gathering people from our routine to deepen conversations of all kinds of universe. The theme changes, the focus changes... in the end, what really matters is to talk.

The July (re)meeting brought the lawyer and astrologer Fernanda Pozzebon for an intimate and deep chat about family constellations. The theme arouses curiosity and, to expand the understanding about its practice and benefits, she shared the article below. Enjoy your reading!

The Family Constellation was created by Bert Hellinger, German, philosopher, theologian, pedagogue and psychoanalyst, within a perspective of science development initiated in the XIX and XX century, when there was the transition from pure rationality, absolutism, to relativity brought by Albert Einstein, expanding to complexity and network theories. Through Family Constellations, we realize that we are inserted in a big family network. Everything that came before, who came before, affects us, conditions us and, many times, we are agents of compensation of what has passed.

Bert Hellinger created the Laws of Love with the intention of establishing a phenomenological method, capable of bringing to surface the cause of many conflicts.

LAW OF BELONGING

The family system watches over the integrity of the clan, preventing any intention of exclusion or oblivion. When someone is rejected, a blind mechanism designates another younger member to represent this excluded one, so that he can be seen or reintegrated, thus generating a conflict.

HIERARCHY LAW

Each member has his/her place and function in the family system. The order is a combination of three factors: seniority, function and formation. There is a disorder, for example, when children take the place of parents.

LAW OF BALANCE

It is the "give and take" that nourishes relationships. Law of compensation. Parents give and children receive. Sometimes the child is unable to take the life he has received from his parents, leaving him empty, powerless and tied to his parents in a negative way, unable to look at his life. His fate remains tied to their claims.

Constellations have brought very positive results in the area of Law. It is already being used in large scale in the Brazilian judiciary, because with the use of the method, agreements reach more than 90% of the cases.

It can also be used as therapy by people who have training in this specific area of knowledge (Family Constellators).

After my training course, I can see life and human relationships in a much more truthful, meaningful and loving way.
