Art Week 2015

The inspiration that drives art also finds creative space in architecture. To bring designers, painters, photographers and architects together, Stemmer Rodrigues opened its doors, transforming the office into a large cultural space. Meeting rooms and work environments were remodeled to make room for a temporary art gallery.

Aldo Locatelli: Italian-Brazilian painter, created an original figurative style combining narrative expressiveness and monumentality, in large murals and easel works. He approached preferentially the religious theme, decorating several temples in the state.

Duda Lanna: Science fiction, Star Wars, comics and mutant monsters are some of the inspirations of the artist, illustrator and designer. In his works, the gaucho creates his own universe, exploring geometric patterns, op art, art nouveau, primitive art, Jungian archetypes, gestalt, maximalism, psychedelia and Black Sabbath.

Fabio Novembre: Italian architect and designer, he worked as art director for Bisazza, contributing to the international growth of the mosaic brand. Since 2001, he has contributed to major Italian design brands such as Cappellini, Driade, Meritalia, Flaminia and Casamania. The outdoor sofa, RPH, is on display at Art Week 2015.

Gustavo Nakle: With creativity and restlessness, the works of the Uruguayan, based in Porto Alegre, transit through various materials such as acrylic, bronze, glass and fiber. He has held exhibitions in important and renowned venues in Brazil and abroad. On display, Butterfly in bronze and murano glass and a tape sculpture.

Jacqueline Terpins: Coexisting between art and design, the artist explores basic geometric shapes, creating timeless objects and furniture. Her work in blown crystal is a reference in the area, being also recognized for her work with wood, corian and metals.

Jader Almeida: The artist unites rationality and simple geometry in pure forms. Collects awards in national and international competitions and has participated in fairs, technical visits and courses in several countries. The Poltrona Dora, the rocking chair Licce and tables Jardim are in the Art Week.

Jean Pierre Kruze: Photographer specialized in fashion, has as purpose and goal beyond photographing, inspire art in his works. In Art Week, presents the unpublished essay, Brazil and the collection PopCats.

Vera Reichert: Drawing, photography and video are part of the work of the artist, who from her art arouses concern about water resources and water pollution. She presents the installation "Is the earth blue?

Sergio Rodrigues: Rio de Janeiro architect and designer, he worked with furniture design, bringing Brazilian identity to his projects. His most famous work is the 1957 mole armchair. On display, the armchair number 13, Antonio Bernardo silver seal series.

Waldeny Elias: The painter, draughtsman and printmaker, is one of the most important artists of his generation. He held regular solo exhibitions in the 1970s, one of them at Galeria Esphera, and in the previous decade, on several occasions at MARGS.
